Bruce A. Mast, MD, FACS
Dr. Mast received his Bachelor of Arts Degree
in 1983 from Brandeis University in Waltham,
MA. He went on to attend The Robert Wood Johnson
Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ and earned
his Medical Degree in 1987. From 1988 to 1993
he was a General Surgery resident at the Medical
College of Virginia, in Richmond. Upon completion
of his training he went on to residency training
in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the
University of Pittsburgh, in Pittsburgh, PA
from 1993 to 1995.
Dr. Mast is Board Certified by the American
Board of General Surgery and the American Board
of Plastic Surgery. In 1995, he was appointed
to the position of Assistant Professor of Surgery,
Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
at the University of Florida. In addition he
served as Chief, Section of Plastic and Reconstructive
Surgery at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville,
Director of the University of Florida Shands
Wound Clinic, and as Medical Director of the
Park Avenue Plastic Surgery Clinic. He is currently
an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic
Surgery.
In 2000 he joined Accent Physician Specialists,
PA, and is now in the private practice of Plastic
and Reconstructive Surgery. His special interests
include breast surgery, body contouring, surgery
after massive weight loss and facial aesthetic
surgery. Since joining Accent, Dr. Mast's expertise
has been independently recognized many times,
as demonstrated in his inclusion in Redbook Magazine's
directory of Top Doctors in breast cancer (2001),
Castle Conelly directory of America's Top Doctors
(2002, 2003, 2004, 2005), Guide to America's
Top Surgeons (2002-2003 edition, 2004-2005 edition),
and National Register's Who's Who in Executives
